Portland Timbers make young soccer player’s dream come true.

In one of the most heartwarming stories of the year, the Portland Timbers made 8-year-old Atticus Lane-Dupre’s dream come true, playing an exhibition against a Make-A-Wish foundation team of children. According to The Oregonian, Atticus learned he had cancer last fall, and his wish was to play a game of soccer against his favorite team, the Timbers. Pitted against MLS stars like Darlington Nagbe and Will Johnson,  Atticus scored four goals, including the game-winner, in a 10-9 victory over the Timbers.
