There is an English soccer team which has toured the US and Spain, seen hundreds of thousands of fans tune into their weekend matches and played in some of the sport’s most hallowed arenas against stars like Steven Gerrard. The team’s captain alone has more YouTube followers than the official account of Manchester United, the world’s highest earning club.
They have yet to play their first official match.
This is Hashtag United, the two-year-old club from Essex, England, who are about to enter the tenth tier of English soccer — aka “football” in most of the world. They’re the self-proclaimed “world’s best-known amateur football team” whose unlikely rise is entirely the result of YouTube, where they post all their games. Read more of the story and get on board!
“We must not measure the development of soccer in the United States simply by the number of people who play soccer, rather, we must measure it by the number of people who love soccer. It is the people who love soccer that will, over time, elevate soccer to the status of preeminent sport in the United States.”

From pizza parlors, to dentists, to banks to real estate agents, there are many businesses around town that work well for this type of partnership. See you on the pitch!
We’re proud to announce that Code Four Athletics has brought back its very popular, very affordable flat-rate shipping fee for 2015! What does that mean for you? Well, regardless of how much of our soccer uniforms, soccer jerseys, fun soccer T-shirts or other soccer gear you buy, you’ll only pay $7.99 for standard shipping. And that’s to any state in the good ol’ U.S. of A.
You may even pay less, if you’re making a small order for, say, just a few soccer pins or soccer captain bands. Their secure online order system will give you all the options.
We’d like to give a big shout out and virtual fist bump to the Ben Franklin H.S. (New Orleans, LA) boys’ AND girls’ soccer teams, who last week won their respective Division II LHSAA State Soccer Championships. The girls won their final match 2-0, and then one day later the boys finished with a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory. It’s the second time in 10 years that the school has swept a state soccer championship.
We recently outfitted the teams in our Viper soccer warmups (shown here on some front-row fans), which no doubt aided in the victories.
OK, we took a little creative license there, but the players sure looked great and kept warm on the sidelines!

Items from the National Soccer Hall of Fame await their day in the sun behind this warehouse door.
When the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, N.Y., closed in early 2010, its tens of thousands of trophies, photographs, guidebooks, jerseys, balls and other exhibits were crated and freighted to Hillsborough, North Carolina.
There, the largest collection of American soccer history sits in limbo, walled within a 3,200-square-foot warehouse beyond public view, awaiting the day when will and wealth might again combine to breathe new life into a showcase for this country’s soccer legacy.
